Alberta Science and Research Investments Program (ASRIP)
Alberta Advanced Education and Technology provides leadership and strategic investments in research and science and technology initiatives that are undertaken in the following priority areas: energy, ICT, nanotechnology, and the life sciences.
Alberta Advanced Education and Technology confirms that a major research infrastructure competition is being held in coordination with the recently announced Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) competition.
The 2008-09 Alberta Science and Research Investments Program (ASRIP) competition will adhere to the established program objectives of supporting quality and research excellence, building innovation capacity, and promoting initiatives of strategic benefit to Alberta. The project assessment is based on the overarching criteria of scientific excellence, need for the infrastructure, and benefits to Alberta.
The ASRIP is an institutional program, thus researchers may direct their inquiries to the research services office at their respective institutions.
ASRIP staff will keep institutions apprised of program developments. Other inquiries may be directed to Kate Murie at (780) 422-0158 or Kate.Murie@gov.ab.ca.
